NOSU RAMEN

We were so fortunate to work with David on several restaurant concepts, his eye for design and ability to understand our vision was crucial to this project. Dave worked well with our entire team, executed the project ahead of schedule and right in line with our budget. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”

Abejas operator Brandon Bortles proposed a playful take on the ramen scene with a new location in Golden, CO. Part way thru the design process, he brought on partner with a strong bar background to add the mix of the experience. We created a modern minimal Japanese inspired design, with a designated ToGo counter. A long soapstone bar made a strong statement to blend wood, stone, and steel. The overhead steel shelf is a reclaimed custom piece from a friend with a recently closed restaurant the I design/ built a few years ago. The strong royal blue of this created a playful pop to the natural materials. A custom illustration from their graphics team balances the space with a handmade art element. Peaked pergolas over white oak boxed booths divides the space. The linear white oak bar back shelving unit and Japanimation inspired ramen characters round out the details.
