SCALZOTTO ITALIAN
The suburbs are ready for more love. With two DIY spaces showing success, the clients were ready to grow to a larger space and create a more cohesive impact. A former Perkins Restaurant space was the place to make it happen. Clearing the previous space with a fresh cement floor grind began the evolution to a contemporary design.
Large murals of iconic Italian architecture were strong backdrops to the saddle leather repurposed bench seating, with clusters of Tom Dixon geometric lights added a modern accent to the space. The wine display behind the bar and distressed wallpaper helped tie together the rewarding impact on a minimal budget. The response has been fantastic from the community.
